Align calls this attachment a Half Cadillac, and that is the name on the parts list, though buyers shopping for a reformer with a tower usually mean this exact piece. It mounts at the headrest end and carries the push through bar, roll down bar, safety strap, foot straps, hand handles, spring holders and long springs. If you want the machine without it, we sell the C8-Pro reformer on its own.

Assembled height with the leg extensions and Half Cadillac fitted is 205cm, a little under 7 feet, and that is the frame alone. Add clearance above it for the roll down bar to swing through its arc and for a standing client on the arm springs. Why we carry this one

The question we get asked most here is Half Cadillac against Full Cadillac. The Half Cadillac is a single upright assembly at one end of the reformer. It gives you the push through bar, the roll down bar, arm and leg spring work, and with the converter and extender fitted, a flat bed for supine Cadillac work. The room stays open and one instructor can work all the way around the machine. The Full Cadillac is a four poster frame with an overhead canopy. It adds trapeze and hanging work a half frame cannot do, and asks for a good deal more floor area and height in return. If trapeze is on your programme, go to the C8-Pro Cadillac reformer combo and budget the space for it.

For everyone else the half frame is the honest answer, because most studio Cadillac programming is push through bar, roll down bar and spring work. The C8-Pro underneath is a commercial reformer, independently tested to EN ISO 20957-1:2013, and the Half Cadillac upper frame is stainless steel rather than chromed steel.
