Product Benefits
The Align Pilates Full Cadillac Frame is the upper frame only. It fits over a compatible reformer and converts that machine into a full Cadillac with a trapeze, a swing through bar, a maple roll down bar, sliding cross bars and 12 springs. Studios reach this decision when they want classical Cadillac repertoire, already own the reformer and have no room for another bay. Instead of a second machine you get a reformer with a tower on the footprint you already committed to. Compatibility is the whole story here, so we lead with it: Align-Pilates fits this frame to the A2 Base Frame and all C-Series reformers, except the C1 and the C8-S.
1. The C1 and the C8-S cannot take this frame. If you own a C8-S Pro, the Full Cadillac is not available to you and the Half Cadillac is the route, see the C8-S Pro with Half Cadillac. Our previous page listed the C8-S Pro and the A8-Pro as compatible. Both were wrong and this page replaces them. Align-Pilates does not state A8-Pro compatibility, so neither do we.
2. Align-Pilates publishes no assembled dimensions for the frame only SKU. We will not invent them, and figures quoted elsewhere for the assembled A2 Cadillac belong to a different product. Ceiling and floor clearance have to be checked against the assembly guide for your reformer before you order. Call us and we will do that with you.
Turn a C-Series reformer into a full trapeze table, without a second apparatus and without a second floor space
Two things to settle before you order. Compatibility, then clearance
Best for, and not ideal for
Ideal For
Studios running a compatible C-Series reformer who want trapeze repertoire on it
Classical programmes needing the trapeze, belly strap and roll down bar
Rehab and physio rooms wanting supported spring work at a 64cm bed height
Rooms where a second apparatus will not fit but the ceiling has height to spare
Not ideal for
C8-S Pro and C1 owners. The frame fits neither machine
Buyers wanting a working apparatus in one purchase. Bracket, extender and converter are separate
Studios that need the reformer free while Cadillac work is running
Anyone unable to confirm ceiling clearance first, since assembled height is unpublished
Why we carry this one
The build is where this frame earns its place. The upper frame is full stainless steel, the swing through bar is rapid adjust aluminium across 5 positions with a quick release safety strap, and the roll down bar is maple. Two pairs of sliding eyelets let spring anchor points move to the exercise rather than the reverse, and the sliding cross bars cover the trapeze and push through geometry classical work depends on.
The spring set is what instructors notice. Twelve music wire springs arrive with it, including two standard 47cm very strong black springs for trapeze work, the pair most trapeze repertoire actually needs. Bed height sits at 64cm to match the Combo Chair, so seated work and transfers line up across the studio.
Full Cadillac against Half Cadillac
This is the decision most buyers are really making. Both mount on a reformer. The Full Cadillac adds a second pair of uprights at the far end, and that closed rectangle is what the trapeze hangs from. That one difference brings the trapeze with its adjustable sling, the belly strap, fuzzy handles and four more springs, and takes the frame the full length of the reformer.
The Half Cadillac uses one upright pair at the head end. It is lower, it is a lower cost route into spring and push through bar work, and it leaves most of the reformer bed open, so switching back to reformer teaching is quicker. What it cannot do is trapeze work, because there is nothing at the far end to hang from.

A compatible reformer. An A2 Base Frame or a C-Series machine, not a C1 or C8-S. The C8-Pro reformer is the usual pairing.
Full Cadillac Bracket PAP-C1PROFCADBKT. The frame bolts to the reformer through this bracket set.
Platform extender. Extends the working surface to the full Cadillac bed length.
Mattress converter. Turns the reformer carriage into the flat
