The Align Pilates R8-Pro Pilates Reformer in White is a light commercial Pilates reformer on a powder coated steel frame with stainless steel runners, 97.5cm of carriage travel, and the full Silent system with patented Silent pulleys. The patented Rapid Change spring bar moves through 3 positions with the springs still attached, and the foot bar has 5 positions including flat. It is the same machine as the black R8-Pro, finished in white.

Commercial cover on the R8-Pro is limited to a maximum of 20 hours of use per week. That is a real ceiling, not a formality. If one machine will be under a client six or seven hours a day, this is the wrong purchase and we will say so. Second, the R8-Pro stands vertically to 238cm, but only when the optional jump board is fitted. Why we carry this one

The Silent system is the reason. Patented Silent pulleys and Pro Rope adjusters inside the shoulder rest frame leave rope work almost nothing to rattle, and the 8 PU wheels run on stainless steel. In a converted bedroom or a room over a living space, that decides whether you can teach at 6am.

The rest is plain specification. Align tested the R8-Pro to ISO 20957-1 Class S, rated it to a 120kg maximum user, and gave it 97.5cm of travel on an 89cm by 56cm carriage at 59.1kg. Four springs come fitted, and the bar has room for a fifth.

White against black, and against the machines either side of it

The white and the black R8-Pro are the same machine. Same frame, same carriage, same travel, same Silent system, same 20 hour weekly limit. Only the finish differs, and the two are priced differently. The black page also carries a leg extension option, so if you want the 36cm bed height configured at the point of order, check that listing before you decide.

Buy the R8-Pro for quiet, the 5 position foot bar and a home or small practice timetable. Buy the C8-Pro for 150kg capacity, longer travel and a full studio day. Buy the F3 if folding it away matters more than specification.
