Product Benefits

Tower work in a room that will not take a full-size frame. The BASI Systems Compact Reformer with Tower runs reformer, tower and raised mat programming on a beech frame 81.5" long, which is 14 inches shorter than the studio-standard reformer. The VPS riser lets pulleys move to any height, so rope height fits the client rather than the other way round, and the push-through bar adjusts for the same reason. It is a space-saving Pilates reformer for home practitioners with a spare room and small studios fitting more machines onto a tight floor plan.

Wanting tower work and having room for a Trapeze Table are two different things, and most home practitioners and small studios sit in the gap. The usual compromise is a plain reformer plus a wish list. This frame closes that gap instead: push-through bar, roll-down bar, eight tower springs and a raised mat, in a footprint that fits a spare bedroom.

There is no trapeze swing. If the trapeze repertoire matters to how you teach, buy the BASI Reformer Combo. And this frame uses the simpler VPS riser pulley rather than the patented EPS found on the full-size Reformer with Tower. VPS adjusts rope height. EPS adjusts height and width. If you are standardising a studio fleet on EPS, buy the full frame.

You can find a cheaper reformer. You cannot buy this one cheaper, because BASI sets the price and every authorized dealer holds it. What changes is what comes with the transaction.

We measure your room against both frames before you order, and tell you if the full-size version fits after all. It is the better long-term buy when the space allows.

The specs back that up. Thirteen springs cover both stations out of the box: five on the reformer (3 red, 1 yellow, 1 blue) and eight on the tower (2 yellow, 2 long yellow, 2 blue, 2 red), with 14 carabiners. The frame is solid beech on an aircraft-grade aluminum track, 23.6" wide, 81.5" long and 12.8" high, with a 23.6" by 25.6" carriage. Upholstery is orthopedic padded cushion under anti-slip antibacterial hospital-grade vinyl, so it wipes down between clients. The Twin Mat Conversion is included and turns the carriage into a raised mat platform.

Assembly is required and takes two people. No power is needed. With the tower and footbar fitted the frame occupies 91.9" by 25.2" and stands 74.9", so plan a 7 ft ceiling minimum and 8 ft for comfortable overhead work. Four F2 System ports are built in, so the frame takes the F2 upgrade later without replacement. Springs are wear parts, replaced every 2 years or 3,000 hours of use, whichever comes first.
