Product Benefits
Most wood sauna stoves top out somewhere around 400 cubic feet. The PRO 26 is built for the rooms past that. It is a graphite black steel wood burning sauna stove made in Finland, part number WKPR26M, rated at 26.6 kW and covering rooms from 353 to 918 cubic feet. That is a commercial or club-sized room, or a large private sauna with high ceilings.
The PRO 26 carries 110 lbs of stone, which is less than the Legend or the Cilindro. That is deliberate. This stove is sized for air volume rather than for a long steam column, and it heats a big room quickly rather than storing heat for a long soak. The cast-iron glass hatch takes a 39 cm log, so you are not cutting firewood down to fit, and the 6 mm fire chamber cover is built for the duty cycle a commercial room asks of it.
Safety distances to combustible material are 14.76 inches at the front, at the rear and at each side, plus 50.4 inches from the top of the stove to the ceiling. Those side and rear figures are four times what the Linear 18 needs, so a room that suits a smaller Harvia may not take this one. Do not carry a clearance figure across from another model. The floor must be non-combustible with load-bearing capacity for a 143 lb stove plus 110 lbs of stone. A concrete slab of 60 mm or more takes it directly; anything else, including tile, needs the WX018, WL100 or WL110 protective bedding. No North American listing is published for this stove, which matters more on a commercial installation than a private one, so confirm what your authority and your insurer require.

The protective sheath, and what it really does
Harvia publishes the WL700 and WL750 sheaths for the PRO 26, and unlike the Legend it publishes the clearances that apply once one is fitted. They are worth reading carefully. With the sheath on, the sides and rear drop from 375 mm to 73 mm, which is the reason most people fit one. But the front distance goes the other way, from 375 mm up to 526 mm. So a sheath buys you width and depth and costs you room in front of the door. Plan the layout around that rather than assuming a sheath shrinks everything.

If your room is under 353 cubic feet, the Harvia Linear 18 Compact at 14.3 kW or the Harvia Legend 150 at 16 kW will suit it better and cost less to run. If you want the same output class with a water tank, ask us about the PRO 20 ES, LS and RS variants.

Questions buyers ask
How much clearance does the PRO 26 need?
14.76 inches to combustible material at the front, rear and each side, and 50.4 inches from the top of the stove to the ceiling. This is the most demanding stove in the Harvia range on clearance, so measure before you buy.
Does a sheath let me put it closer to the wall?
