Five springs ship as standard, one heavy, two standard and two light, and the gear bar carries five eyehooks so you can run four springs for classical work or five for progressive loading. Swapping between the two is a gear bar change, not a service call.

Placing it is straightforward for studios and for home rooms. The frame arrives preassembled and two people should carry it into position on a level floor, then fit the carriage, springs and gear bar. Peak Pilates asks for a clear zone of about three feet (one metre) around the machine in use, so plan the room around 90 in by 26 in plus that working space. Nothing plugs in. Maintenance is light: wipe the upholstery after each session, inspect the springs weekly, check the hardware every 2 months, and replace all five springs every 2 years.
