Product Benefits

The SaunaLife Model S1NC Package is a 1-person cold plunge tub with a chiller included: the 124 gallon Model S1N natural Thermo-Spruce immersion tub paired with the FDC-1A chiller and heater unit, holding water anywhere from 32.5°F to 108°F. A cold plunge with a chiller is a cold water immersion tub with a refrigeration unit that cools and filters the water continuously, so it sits at a set temperature instead of warming up like an ice bath. That 32.5°F to 108°F range covers both sides of contrast therapy from the same tub: cold water for recovery after training, warm water for stiff muscles. The FDC-1A plugs into a standard 110 to 120V outlet with a GFCI cord, runs an ozone generator and external filter to keep water clear, and is controlled from an on-unit LCD touchscreen or an iOS and Android app.

The tub is sized for one bather at a time. It arrives fully assembled with a dark grey contoured fiberglass insert, natural Thermo-Spruce exterior, foundation beams, and round deluxe stairs. Typical use is 2 to 5 minutes in cold water, or three rounds alternating cold and hot after a sauna session. Total footprint is 40 inches across, which fits a garage corner, a patio, or a spare bathroom.

This is a single-person recovery station for people who plunge often enough that hauling ice stops making sense. Athletes and lifters running cold exposure several times a week are the core buyers, along with sauna owners who want the cold side of contrast therapy next to the hot room, and anyone using cold water for inflammation and mood who wants the water ready without prep. It suits a home gym, garage, basement, or covered patio.

Do not buy the S1NC if two people need to plunge together, if you want a tub that needs no electricity at all, or if the only available outlet is not on a GFCI-protected circuit. Two-bather households should look at the 2-person Model S2N instead. Buyers who plunge once a week and are fine with ice can buy the Model S1N tub on its own and add a chiller later.

Filled weight is 1,158 lbs, so the tub needs a level floor or pad rated for that load. A concrete garage slab, patio, or paver base is fine. Second-floor decks and raised timber floors need checking. The chiller sits separately, connects with the supplied hoses through 3/4 inch NPT fittings, and needs clear air space around it to exhaust heat. Drainage is a 1 inch outlet, so plan where the water goes on a change.

Chiller ambient operating range: 59°F to 109°F for cooling, 59°F to 95°F for heating. Below 59°F ambient the unit falls outside its rated range, which matters for unheated garages and winter patios.

How does the FDC-1A chiller and heater work?

Cooling and heating in one unit. 2.81 kW cooling and 3.38 kW heating on R410A refrigerant, so the same box drops water to 32.5°F or lifts it to 108°F.

Circulating pump. An 88W DC motor moves water through the hoses continuously, which is what holds a set temperature rather than letting it drift.

Ozone disinfection. A built-in ozone generator treats the water as it circulates, cutting how much chemical dosing the tub needs.

External filter assembly. Two 5 inch filters with wrenches and a secondary screen, mounted outside the tub so changes do not mean draining.

Two control paths. On-unit LCD touchscreen, plus an iOS and Android app over Wi-Fi, plus an LED remote. Set the temperature before you leave the gym.

Standard outlet. Plug and play on 110 to 120V with a GFCI cord. No dedicated 240V circuit, no electrician for the power side.

Quiet operation. SaunaLife rates the design as noise-minimised, which matters when the unit sits in a garage next to a bedroom wall.

Why GooFitness carries this

Most single-person plunges are either a plastic barrel with no chiller or a chiller unit sold separately at a surprise second price. The S1NC ships as one package: European-built Thermo-Spruce tub, fiberglass insert, stairs, and a matched chiller and heater unit that also covers the hot side. We stock the full SaunaLife range, so a SaunaLife barrel sauna and plunge pairing ships from one supplier on one order. New to cold exposure, start with our cold plunge FAQ.

What do the specs actually mean?

Spec

What it means for you

32.5°F to 108°F range

One tub covers cold plunge and warm soak. Most users sit between 45°F and 55°F for cold work.

124 gallon volume

Enough depth to submerge to the shoulders seated. Small enough that the chiller holds temperature easily.

1 bather

Single-user sessions. Two-person households take turns or size up to the 2-person model.

110 to 120V GFCI plug

Plugs into a normal outlet. No 240V circuit, no electrician for the power connection.

1,158 lbs filled

Concrete slab, patio, or paver base. Check any raised timber floor before placing it.

40 in diameter footprint

Fits a garage corner or spare bathroom. Leave separate space for the chiller and its airflow.

Ozone plus external filter

Water stays usable for weeks rather than days. Filter changes do not require draining the tub.

59°F ambient minimum

The chiller is rated for use in mild to warm surroundings. An unheated winter garage sits outside that range.

Natural Thermo-Spruce shell

Thermally modified woo

Shipping & Delivery

Delivery is curbside on a pallet, tub and chiller crated separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

How cold can the water get, and can it also heat up? The FDC-1A chiller and heater holds water anywhere from 32.5°F to 108°F, so the same tub covers both cold plunge and hot soak sides of contrast therapy.

How many people can use this tub at once? The S1NC is built for one bather at a time; two-person households should look at the 2-person Model S2N instead.

What power does the chiller need? It plugs into a standard 110 to 120V outlet on a GFCI-protected circuit.

Can I install this outdoors? Yes, but outdoor installs need a weatherproof cover over the chiller since it isn't built for direct exposure to rain, snow, or sun.

What kind of floor does it need? The tub weighs 1,158 lbs filled, so it needs a level floor or pad rated for that load, such as a concrete garage slab or patio.
